We had a wonderful two night stay in a second floor room with a view of their gardens below, and the snow capped Andes in the distance. All of the employees were so friendly, kind, and helpful! This is a very environmentally friendly place, and they make a great effort to that end. A special thanks to Alberto (Beto) who accompanied us on our tour of the organic farm, the farm lunch, tour of the coffee making operation, and the distillery. The gentleman who instructed us in the distillery and we also saw as a bartender in their restaurant in the plaza, Chuncho, was exceptional as, but I cannot recall his name! For those who comment they did not like the fact that it is alongside the railway, and that is was noisy, are nuts! The proximity to the railway is what attracted us there. There was no smell from the trains or barking dogs at night as some have commented. We plan to recommend this spot to our friends when they visit Ollantaytambo. Thanks for making our first trip to Peru amazing! … Date of stay: March 2019 Trip type: Traveled as a couple Response from ElAlbergue-Ollanta, Guest Relations Manager at El Albergue Ollantaytambo Responded Mar 20, 2019 Thank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us, had the opportunity to explore our organic farm, coffee roasting and distillery and participated in our Pachamanca Farm Lunch Experience. We will be sure to pass your praise along to Beto, Andre (the gentleman at the Distillery and Chuncho) and our entire team. We hope you had an incredible time exploring Peru and the Sacred Valley and look forward to the future visits of you and your family and friends. Saludos and safe travels in all of your journeys! I got an email confirming my date as well as a confirmation booking number from them. When we arrived they could't find my reservation and I was told the Casita wasn't available. I showed them my confirmed booking number and they said they were sorry but it was already booked. They gave me 2 other rooms and reduced the price for me, but it wasn't the same as my family was separated instead of all of us being together. Make sure you double check your reservation a few days before you get there! Be aware that it is RIGHT beside the train station so it will be noisy when the trains arrive. On the positive side the grounds are beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Nice and cozy, we had a Panchamanca prepared for us just by their organic farm. We loved walking Ollantaytambo at night and learning about the aquaducts. Peaceful, authentic and soothing. Date of stay: April 2019 Value Service Sleep Quality Room Tip: Rooms in the back are best, away from train tracks See more room tips 5 contributions 1 helpful vote We booked the Casita at El Albergue for two nights before our Inca Trail trip, and it was the most relaxing, peaceful retreat. The Casita was gorgeous, inside and out, and the grounds featured lots of plants and flowers, a nice patio to sit on and enjoy the breeze, and hammocks with an amazing view of the Andes in the distance. There were even bunnies in pens outside our house- so cute! Despite being right on the train platform, there was barely any noise that we could hear. Our room came with a basket of fruit, bottled water, and chocolate- it was such a nice touch. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was delicious. Attentive service and fresh, local food. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful- they arranged for car service for us from Cusco to the hotel and also took care of us the morning of our trek as we were leaving. They understand the needs and concerns of those preparing to hike the Inca Trail and go out of their way to make sure you're not overwhelmed. It was much appreciated! My only regret is that we didn't stay long enough to take advantage of the sauna (complimentary with your stay. This is the best place to stay before or after a trip to Macchu Picchu, hands down. … Date of stay: November 2019 Value Service Sleep Quality Room Tip: If you want total seclusion and quiet, book the Casita. Una gran actriz. A wonderfully quirky and traditional option right in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, El Albergue has become one of Audley's favorite options in the area. Located in Ollantaytambo station, the hotel provides a surprisingly calm oasis from the hustle and bustle of the station and nearby town. Rooms are spread around a central garden area that leads out to the attached neighboring farm, and are full of character and local touches. The beautiful gardens are full of flowers and fruit trees which are popular with hummingbirds, and the organic farm can be visited during the day. The hotel offers a real taste of traditional Peruvian hospitality surrounded by stunning mountain views. Speak to someone who's been there Start planning your tailor-made trip by calling one of our Peru specialists at 617-223-4920 Rooms All the rooms in the hotel are clean, comfortable and simply decorated with traditional handicrafts, creating a rustic atmosphere. They come equipped with Wi-Fi access, safes and private bathrooms. The Superior and Superior Plus rooms are great options, but are a little smaller and tend to be nearer the front of the hotel, meaning that they can be noisier. We like the Garden and Balcony room categories, which look onto the central courtyard area, offer more space and are quieter. Location The hotel is located right at Ollantaytambo station, where trains depart to Machu Picchu. Most of the rooms in the hotel are to the back of the property which means you shouldn't be disturbed by the trains, although of course some noise is inevitable. The town of Ollantaytambo is around a ten minute walk away and easily accessible from the hotel. The town itself is full of history and has a couple of traditional restaurants that are well worth trying. Food and Drink The hotel has a great little restaurant and café attached where you can enjoy breakfast. Meals and snacks are also available during the day and evening. The restaurant specializes in providing hearty Peruvian fare, and many of the ingredients are produced in the hotel's gardens or the adjoining farm. Facilities and Activities The property features a wood stove sauna for guests to relax in after a busy day of exploring. It also offers a laundry service. The El Albergue Farm can be visited by those staying at the property between 8am and 5pm, and guests can even have a go at performing some of the farm work if they wish! There's also the option to take part in a traditional Pachamanca lunch on the farm for those who wish to learn more about this alternative cooking technique. Our opinion A clean, comfortable and well located hotel for those who plan to spend most of the day exploring the Sacred Valley. The property oozes with character and charm, and while its position at Ollantaytambo station means it can be a little noisy throughout the day (trains run from 5. 30am to 11pm) it's a tranquil place to spend the night once the rush of the day has passed. Our specialists can also suggest outdoor pursuits and activities, such as cooking classes, that will introduce you to the traditions of the areas inhabitants. Chinchero Market & Ruins Cuzco During your day of exploration, you visit the colorful local market in the town of Chinchero. This is one of the most traditional markets in all of South America, and you will be surrounded by locals in their traditional dress all buying and selling their produce. Huchuy Qosqo Trek The trail takes you through small hamlets and affords stunning views of the Sacred Valley and Pisac below. The trail climbs steadily to a pass at 4200m, beyond which you will descend to a beautiful canyon, where a picnic lunch is served. Moray, Maras & Ollantaytambo Visit the Maras salt pans, the experimental agricultural terraces of Moray and the remnants of Ollantaytambo, once an important Inca administrative center. Mountain Biking Excursion Sacred Valley This incredibly scenic ride starts in the Andean highlands around Chinchero (3727m) and ends beside the Urubamba River in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You cycle amid traditional Andean communities where the way of life has changed very little since the Spanish arrived nearly 500 years ago. Pisac Market and Ruins In the small colonial village of Pisac, spend the morning exploring the colorful Indian market, with its wide variety of textiles and ceramics. White water rafting on the Urubamba Today will take you above Cuzco to the Chuquicahuana section of the Urubamba River to raft on class III-IV rapids. Here the river is much cleaner and more fun than in the lower sections, and no previous experience is necessary.

The story finds a couple children being drug to a cabin in the freezing wilderness for the Christmas holiday. I say 'drug' because this trip will include Dad's new girlfriend. and the kids blame her for their parents' failed marriage. Much of the trip, the girlfriend will watch the kids as the father has to work and will be going back to the city for a few days. In the meantime, the weather and other factors conspire to make the prospective step-mother lose her mind! Can the kids manage to survive? There is much more to the story than twists and interesting story elements (such as the lady having belonged to a suicide cult as a child. but if I tell more it might ruin the suspense.
The bottom line is that the film was usually difficult to predict AND the motivations for the breakdown were interesting. This is not a slasher film but a more intelligent psychological thriller. well worth seeing and very unsettling.

Just saw this at the Fantasia Film Festival and gotta say I regretted staying to the end. The first half was absolutely promising with an eerie atmosphere but once the hugely illogical story-line comes into play, I was praying for a brilliant twist at the end to explain all my questions. Suffice it to say, the twist was moronic and hugely unsatisfying. Acting, especially from Riley, was quite strong and poor Alicia Silverstone must be desperate for cash these days as her bit role was completely throwaway and required very little from her.
Yet another disappointment from the half-baked faux-goth bro-sis team. Let's hope this is their last film. El trecr esta incompleto. Me encanta el personaje de Cresencia.

Great food, a scented garden, spacious room, rustic sauna, quiet, right on train platform - definitely would stay again. Train to Machu Picchu left at 5 am and asked for a box breakfast - only average aspect and hopefully something easy to fix as I imagine many customers would be leaving early and would appreciate a great boxed breakfast as dinner at the restaurant and breakfast in the motel are not to be missed Barry, au 1 Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It's a beautiful property with a great sustainable mindset. The room is cozy; we were welcomed with 2 granadilla fruits on our desk when we entered the room. The bathroom is a but on the smaller size but had everything we needed. The breakfast was definitely the best breakfast we had in any of our hotel stays in Peru. There was a choice of different dishes to order from, plus a buffet of fruits, bread, juices, teas, etc. If you stay here, also try to have dinner here as well- the dish which offered lamb, alpaca, and beef with 3 different sauces was very delicious and the chicha morada drink was excellent! The service was superb. The location couldnt be any more perfect, it's literally by the train tracks and made for a super convenient transfer to Machu Picchu. Would highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again! Sarah, us 1 Make sure to reserve some time in the eucalyptus sauna! Its complimentary but you have to book ahead. An amazing experience! Charlotte, us 2 Our room was nice but rustic - slow wifi, no TV, weak shower, space heater. Service was outstanding and breakfast was very good. The farm lunch and tour were location for taking the train to Machu Picchu. Jeffry, us 3 Very nice clean room with large bathroom. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The highly-rated restaurant was closed for renovation the night we were there but was open the next morning for coffee. This place could not be more perfect for visiting Machu Picchu; it is literally located on the train platform that takes you to Aguas Calientes where you switch to the bus to MP. Jack, us 1.
